The entrance with Uganda E-Visa is only allowed though one of the following border crossing points: Busia, Entebbe, Katuna, Malaba, Mpondwe und Mutukula.

If you are willing to enter via any other port, you must obtain a visa directly from the Embassy.




The Uganda Government has introduced an electronic pre-approval system. An online application must be completed by all travelers prior to arrival in Uganda. Once the application has been approved, travelers will have the visa issued and printed at the Immigration Office Headquarters at the point of entry. Bio-metrics will be taken on arrival. and provide digital copies of the following documents:

Passport. Photocopy of the bio data page of the applicant's passport.

Yellow Fever Vaccination. Copy of International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.

Entries and Exits. Proof entries and exits into Uganda in the last one year
For a multiple-entry visa:

Additional documents to be provided:

•Personal letter stating the reasons for requesting a multiple-entry visa.

•Police Clearance Certificate from Interpol or local police station.

•Letters of reference from two references in Uganda.



It is mandatory that all documents listed below are presented at the airport in Uganda:


• Printed approval letter.

• Original yellow fever certificate.

• Copy of passport information pages including pages with photo and address.

• Recent passport-size photograph.
